Frequently Asked Questions

Is my massage therapist licensed?
Yes.
I am licensed with the City of Saint Paul.

Do you take insurance?
No. I can provide a receipt to help you get reimbursement from your insurance provider.

*As a massage therapist I can not bill Health Insurance in Minnesota. Many health flex/spending accounts will let you submit receipts for massage reimbursement. Contact your Insurance Provider for participation guidelines.

Can I pay with a credit card or online?
Yes.
Look under the Home, Services & Rates or Contact Info pages.
Credit Cards are accepted online for prepayment and onsite the day of your massage.

Can I book my appointment online?
Yes.
Look under the Home or Hours & Scheduling pages.
You can book your appointment with 24 hours notice on our website.
New clients must make an online account and prepay for the first service.

What should I do to prepare for my massage?
Very little preparation is necessary. Turn your cell phone off and get ready to relax. Your clothing is entirely up to you, sheets are required as covering.

How will the massage begin?
You fill out a brief entrance and medical form before your first appointment when you make your Massagebook account.
If you have special areas of concern or any special health situations we will discuss your issues and treatment. I will leave the room so you can undress and get under the sheets in privacy. Draping is Required.

What should I do during my massage?
Your only job is to tell me if you need pressure adjustments or if the technique is too intense.
Your therapeutic treatment is tailored to your individual needs.

What if I fall asleep?
I will wake you up when the treatment is over.

What happens at the end of my massage?
I will leave the room to allow you to dress in privacy.
When you are finished dressing, you can check in with me before you leave.
I encourage you to drink water to aid in the detoxification and to stay hydrated.

Are there any medical conditions that would make massage or bodywork inadvisable?
Yes. That's why it's imperative that, before you begin your session, the practitioner asks general health questions. It is very important that you inform the practitioner of any health problems or medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor's care, it is strongly advised that you receive a written recommendation for massage or bodywork prior to any session. Depending on the condition, approval from your doctor may be required.

Oh no!
I have to cancel my appointment, what do I do?

No problem.
We both know you don't want to cancel but life happens.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
24 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.

No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.

Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.

No refunds will be given on any services or packages for any reason.

See you soon, April
